Warby Parker: Glasses That Give Back

I love a brand that’s committed to giving people a high quality product at a fair and reasonable price. So, it should come as no surprise to you, that I am a big fan of the eyeglass brand, Warby Parker.

Have you heard of this company?

If you’re a frugal fashionista, I’m sure you have.

Warby Parker was started by Brown University students who were frustrated and felt that the price of glasses was too expensive. One of the students  lost his glasses on a backpacking trip. Unfortunately, the cost of replacing his glasses was so high that he spent the first semester of grad school without them!

Like any grad student, these kids decided to research and investigate their problem. They learned that the eye wear industry was dominated by one company that kept prices unreasonably high because consumers didn’t have an alternative.

Luckily for the rest of us, they didn’t like this and decided to establish Warby Parker, an affordable alternative  making the process of buying glasses easy and fun!

But they didn’t stop there. They also have a buy a pair, give a pair program. Through this program they have donated more than 2 million pair of glasses!
